Bruins Swap Goalies, Get Playoff Experience

The Boston Bruins have today (again) traded goaltender Mathieu Garon. With two fairly inexperienced goaltenders in Tuukka Rask and Al Montoya, the club felt adding a veteran netminder who could also help the club come playoff time (if the club can play well enough to make the postseason) was not a bad thing.
It's rumored that after a game vs. the Colorado Avalanche on Day 9 of the season (in which the Bruins won by a score of 6-0), the goalie for the Avalanche, Dwayne Roloson, was so impressed with the Bruins (after facing 48 shots) that he, according to witnesses, went to the GM of the Avalanche, Pat Wilson, and declared that he didn't want to wait until the trade deadline to get traded - he wanted to go to the Bruins right away.
We're happy to bring in Rollie and think that with limited playing time during the regular season, we can keep him fresh and prepared for the playoffs, should we make it. He's a proven playoff goalie and has the right mentality to get the job done.
